Coney Island-NYC 2013

Here we go:  Next step...Coney Island!!!
This was quite the venture we took a 45 minute train ride and it was record temps for NYC 105 degrees.  None of us have ever experienced this kind of heat before.  We were just puring the water on the kids and trying to keep hydrated.  It really added to the adventure and one that we will never forget.  We spent time on the boardwalk, went to Luna Park, and ended at a freak show.

I and Love and You

I was worried about Luca watching a freak show (Lexa was napping), but she REALLY wanted to go.  I figured if she got uncomfortable, then we would leave.  Turns out that mommy was the one that had to look away most of the time!

We were the only ones there, but towards the end of the show it was more full.

Luca wasn't sure what to expect...

This was a painting done for luca by the fire breathing lady (she painted it with a paintbrush up her nose).
Peter volunteered to pull the sword out of a man's throat...that was crazy.  Luca enjoyed it so much!!  Her favorite was the snake dancer.  She kept practicing the dance.

On our way home...Lexa got so crazy that we had to get off the subway and ended up in downtown Brooklyn (that was really rough area).  We walked 20 blocks to get home...whew!!!  Again, all part of the memories.

Just exhausted, and HOT!!!
