School Picture Day

I know that Luca is only in Preschool, however, it was her picture day at school and I couldn't help but make a big deal out of it. We picked out a new dress together and she was just as excited as mommy.

Thanksgiving 2011

Since we bought our house we have had thanksgiving in our home. This is our third year making dinner and we wouldn't want to spend it any other way. Toni makes all the sides and I proudly prepare the turkey. The last 2 years I have brined the turkey and it is AMAZINGLY juicy.

We had our usual guest, my day and his girlfriend. This year we also invited 2 great friends, we couldn't ask for anything more special. We give thanks to our growing family and all the people that have joined us on our journey.

Friendsgiving 2011

This is our second annual "Friendsgiving." A week before Thanksgiving we get together with our good friends and have practice run:) Thanks to our hosts this year, the Ortegas...it was delicious. Next we the Artigas are going to host, it should be fun!

Thanksgiving Break 2011

Being a teacher affords me the luxury of having time off during the holidays.

I pulled Luca from school for the week, so we can have mommy daughter time.

Everyday with her is a gift! I have included a few pics of our time.....movies, visiting daddy at work, and face painting.

Veteran's Day

Mommy had the day off and I kept Luca home from school, so we could spend time together. Daddy had to go to Palm Springs for work the entire weekend. I did what any working mom does on a day off......clean, laundry, sleep, clean, bake, clean, cook, and clean more:)

the barber (mommy) came for a visit to trim Luca's bangs. We have to role play, so that she thinks it's fun......it works.

Happy 3rd Birthday Presley!

We wanted to celebrate Luca's BFF's birthday and went to Ventura to be apart of it. The Ortega's are really good friends and always attend our parties, so we couldn't miss it.

Saturday Fun!

We started the morning early, visiting the Farmer's Market near our house. Then Luca wanted to feed the ducks, play in the park and run around in the treehouse. We went home, took a nice long nap and woke up in time to catch a 5:00 movie Puss in Boots.

After the movie we attended the opening night at Zask Gallery to help fundraise for a skatepark in PV. We ended the night with an excellent fish dinner. It was a wonderful family filled day:)
