Luca is a teacher??

Yes...well kind of. She is really into role playing, so in these pics she pulled up her "stage" and we were her class. It was hilarious and she kept us entertained. Toni takes her to her work sometimes on weekends to pick/drop off work and Luca pretends to be a student.

A farewell party for a dear friend...

Toni's good friend, Shauna, that she has known for 15 years is moving to North Dakota for a year to help out her mom. We are planning to meet her in Las Vegas for Cinco de Mayo for one last hooray, but we had an enjoyable dinner. We made pizza's on the grill and garlic parmesan chicken wings. It was great to see Shauna's mom who is visiting. At night we had a fire and it was the perfect day/night:)

Long Beach- Art Park

After taxes we met up with our good friends the Shaw family. We spent the afternoon at this unique park in Long Beach by 2nd street and then we had lunch at a restaurant called BJ's. The kids were tuckered out and Luca had a nice nap that day. It was great to see Jason, Katherine, Olivia and Christian:) they are such a wonderful family and we love spending time with them.

I just wanted to show Luca's hair because it has these natural blonde high lights that everyone comments on. Her hair has these beautiful curly locks and the tips are blonde. She has Toni's Dads hair and he noticed last time we saw him.

Hacienda Heights-Tax Day

For some tax day isn't very eventful, but our accountant is awesome and in front of her office is this huge pool of coy fish. It kept Luca entertained and a beautiful site!

Happy 3rd Birthday Luca Marie

We both surprised her at daycare with birthday balloons and she started jumping up and down she was so excited. We went straight to dinner-her choice and went home for a birthday "sweet" treat.....chocolate chip brownie with chocolate frosting. It was sugar free, but she couldn't tell the difference!

And the fun began all over again! Sunday morning we started the day with banana buttermilk pancakes and scrambled eggs which the girls loved. After breakfast, they all decided to bake and paint animal cookies...more sugar! This weekend was the best birthday weekend ever!

What a day! After a long day at the zoo, the girls decided to play, paint and watch a movie.

By the time the movie came on, it was almost midnite. It was great having a house full of girls

for a slumber birthday party.

We were going to wait to give her our gift, but we got caught up in the moment and wanted to share it with family. We got Luca a BIG GIRL Schwinn bike with training wheels. She actually started to ride it-with help from her cousin.Luca received some Birthday gifts that were all great!

The zoo has a beautiful picnic area where we celebrated Luca's birthday with lunch and

very special cupcakes that my wife made. She is by far the best at baking perfect special

occasion treats.
