Happy Birthday Aedan!

Doesn't this cake look amazing!
It was catered with a great brunch spread. We left in a food coma....it was
'off the hook."
Thanks to the Arcas for a great birthday "weekend!"

Pajama Party Part III

So off to the pajama party again.....wow..what a cool party!
Luca asked for a purple (her favorite color) butterfly.
Look at this table, my wife loves this kind of stuff and we were really impressed:)
As you walk in the party you stop to make your custom pillow. Later they had activities like a pillow fight (throwing them up in the air), parachute fun and singing. They also had story time featuring Goodnight Moon, of course.

Pajama Party Part II

Since we were already at the park, we decided to let Luca play in her pajamas. It doesn't matter where we are or the situation as long as we are together we have the best time.
I love my girls!

Pajama Party Part I

As you can see, Luca is VERY excited to go to her friends Pajama Party. Well, we get to the park in PV and no one is there...party is tomorrow! Here is some advice-never assume parties are on Saturday.
This has to be hands down the best invitation to come through the Artiga household.

Cooling off in the Hot Sun

Yes, this is our daughter playing Tball in her bathing suit. She wore it all day running in the sprinklers and gardening. She had a nice nap outside in the shade and when we went inside in the evening she was crying to go back outside. She had a really nice afternoon...thinking it's summer:)

Funny Face

Friday, March 4, 2011

Our little girl is turning 3 in a few weeks and we couldn't be more proud.

Wanted to give everyone an educational update:
So Luca is talking up a storm and she is now able to decipher Spanish and English. She still code mixes (combines both languages into one), but when you ask her to respond in Spanish she will and now translates words for the Nanny. She taught the other boy at daycare how to say red in Spanish.
She counts to ten in Spanish, 20 in English She has known her ABC's for a long time now, but she is starting to write, recognize the letters of the alphabet and is beginning to write her first name. She can say her first, middle and last name and her address. That reminds me she is also the worse back seat driver...telling us verde-GO, rojo-STOP! She knows that mommy and her speak English (with Italian mixed in) and daddy and her speak Spanish. Our little experiment seems to be working:)
